1 .The participants on the Digital Inclusion Day really benefited.
数码融入日的参与者感觉受益匪浅。
2 .The majority were in their seventies,
他们大多数人都70多岁了，
3 .though some were younger and a few were even in their nineties!
尽管有的人年轻一点，有的人甚至已经九十岁了！
4 .Quite a few owned both a computer and a mobile phone,
不少人同时拥有电脑和手机，
5 .but these tended to be outdated models.

6 .They generally knew how to do simple things, like send texts,

7 .but weren't aware of recent developments in mobile phone technology.

8 .A few were keen to learn but most were quite dismissive at first -

9 .they couldn't see the point of updating their skills.

10 .But that soon changed.

1 .The feedback was very positive.

2 .The really encouraging thing was that participants all said they felt much more confident about using social media to keep in touch with their grandchildren,

3 .who prefer this form of communication to phoning or sending emails.

4 .A lot of them also said playing online games would help them make new friends and keep their brains active.

5 .They weren't that impressed with being able to order their groceries online,
他们对于网购不是很感兴趣，
6 .as they liked going out to the shops,

7 .but some said it would come in handy if they were ill or the weather was really bad.

8 .One thing they asked about was using tablets for things like reading newspapers -

9 .some people had been given tablets as presents but had never used them,
